Jadhav Molai Payeng, prominently known as the Forest Man of India and a recipient of the Padma Shri award, on Tuesday, said that he will be the hero in his biopic and does not want anybody else to play his role if any film account of his life is made in the coming times. He said this during addressing a National Summit meeting organized by the New Delhi –based Greentech Foundation on August 23 and 24, where he was invited to grace the occasion as a guest of honor in Hotel Vivanta Taj, Guwahati.
While addressing the opening ceremony of this two-day National Summit, he unveiled his new mission to construct Mexico greener and also discussed NGO Azteca, where he merged with environmental projects in Mexico aiming to build 7 million trees in that nation. While receiving a huge round of applause, the man spoke to the audience sharing that he planted seeds and saplings along a dry sandbar by the river Brahmaputra, Assam constructing a forest that stands at 550 hectares on the Majuli island situated in Jorhat.
